Pray for High School Camp

Hi Guys,

Hope your summer is going great! It is amazing down here and 100 degrees and I'm loving IT! So tomorrow I am off to counsel high school camp with the church - I'm really excited for a week of Jesus, crazy fun and no sleep!

'Tis will be fun and I am asking for your prayers for myself and for the rest of the counselors; that the Lord would grant us wisdom and discernment and energy to keep up with these young wipper-snappers! ;) But also for the kids, we have some returning kids who were once on fire and in love with their Lord Jesus but now are suicidal. Pray that this camp will be a lasting impression and the the love of Jesus would show and be shown to these kids. And that I would have patience, and understanding. That the counselors would have understanding with each other and that we would meld together and be labors in His name.

Amazing things do happen at camp, always God is good. But the enemy will surely be out to discourage that...Lord I just bind the enemy's works in Jesus name and that You would be glorified. Not just at camp, but in the lives of the kids two months after camp, a year after camp, two years and 10 years down the road their lives would truly just show You Jesus! I pray for us, Lord the counselors - this next week we will be demanded of to a new extent that can not be fulfilled humanly. Jesus I ask for a supernatural power - fill us; with strength, patience, discernment, wisdom and love, and You are love. Fill us overflowing with You.

Please keep us all safe on the trip up, may we have some crazy fun, but protect us and keep us safe - as we enjoy fellowship, the worship, the food, the Word and YOU! I thank you that You are a good God and Father and You want what is best for us; be Jesus of this trip and be the Lord over my mouth!

I praise You and I love you Jesus. Thank you for my brothers and sister that pray with me and support me - two or three are gathered in Your name, You are here with us! Thank you Jesus. We love You and praise You, In Jesus name. Amen!

Praise, Praise, Praise!

Praise Jesus!  I just got a call from the head instructor of the Paramedic Program and I made it in!!!   Thank you sooo much for your prayers! I'm sure I'll ask you for many more to make it through.  But for now praise the LORD!  I start in the Fall.  I'll keep y'all updated!

Love you all!

Co-Labors

Hi there All!

So I finished my first year at school down here - can you believe it I've been gone almost a year now. And I made it with good grades, thanks to help, study partners, hard work, prayer, prayer, prayer and more prayer! ;D Thank you so much for praying. But once again, and probably not for the last time I'm going to ask for more prayers. Monday I have my interview for the Paramedic Program. Part of it is an oral interview and the other part is patient assessment. They give you a scenario and you have to display your BLS (Basic Life Support) skills. And I have to say this is truly one place I fall very short on: is patient assessment. I really, really have a hard time with it while I was in EMT school - my instructors even worked with me because I struggled so much with it.

So please I ask for your prayers for this interview and that God's will would be done.

And if I get in that the glory would go to Him, and if I fail and don't get that He would prepare my heart for that devastation.

But also, that He would continue to prepare a way for me to go to Africa. That I would find a group or people to go with and stay with and that doors would begin to open up again.

Thank you soooo much for your prayers, love and support. I don't know how I would have made it this far with out you all! Paul said that you are co-labors with me. My hands may touch those in Africa but it will have been your bended knees that got me there, and by that you reward is that of a co-laborer. I love you and miss you all so much! I'll be back up after the interview hopefully I'll get to see you all again. I'm hoping to stop by Rod's class and see who is there.

Well, good night and thank you again. May the Lord richly bless you!

Pray like crazy...

Hi There!
Life has been sooo busy and crazy.  I am almost done with my first year of college down here in Oregon.  I am terrified and relieved.  Three more weeks.  Four more weeks and I'll be home for a bit, for that I am super stoked but before I get to go home, I have to do finals.  What is with that? ;) The Lord has given me so much and brought me this far with some amazing stories:

The very fact that I've moved here of all places the Lord had to have ordained that.

All the doors that have been open along the way, countless really.

I had to take a class that required one of the books out of a six set required for the Paramedic program itself, so instead of buying the same book twice, in hopes that I would eventually be in the program I bought the set, as suggested by my advisor (who also teaches the paramedic classes)   Well, recently my advisor said that they were thinking about buying a new set.  I was like "what?!" But he said that either I would be able to exchange my old set for the new one, the company would but back the old set, or the provider of the books would give me the new set for FREE!  Is God good?!

And God even provided a scholarship! Tomorrow night Emily and I are going to the award ceremony.  God gave me a scholarship for next year that will pay a good chunk of expenses. Praise Him and thank you to the Coeta and Donald Baker Endowed Scholarship Foundation!

However, there are some major things that I need prayer for:

I still need to get into the Paramedic program!!!!  Here is the issue with that:  you can only have a maximum of 5 classes to complete, including your paramedic at the time you apply.   (Which I will be applying very shortly, the deadline is June 15) Right now I have 6.  Here are a couple things to pray about; I either have to....

Test out of Computer Science 120, which I hear is not too hard, the test is $50 every try.  and/or
Ask the math teacher if he will take me into math 65 so pray for favor. (skip math 60)
and/or
See if I can take math 60 and 65 over the summer, but this will still put me at 6 classes to complete unless I can test out of CS120.

But...I just re-tested with my last chance on Thursday with a fever and the flu, and today I just found out that they changed the cut-off-scores Friday, which may have been why I couldn't register this weekend, because I am no longer eligible for Math 60, which would drop me to Math 20, which would disqualify me from the Paramedic program, which would also make me ineligible for the scholarship as well.  *sigh* I'm a little nervous....I really don't know how this is going to work, how the Lord will make this fly, but...I am really at a loss - I need you guys to pray, pray like crazy.  Thank you for your love, and support....I don't know where I would be without you all!

Dear Lord, I come before you now in Jesus name.  I want to lift up my brothers and my sisters that have warred on my behalf.  I thank you for them, the gift, the enjoyment and the treasure I have in them.  Lord, I don't know where I would be with out my family.  Thank you Jesus, thank you for my family, I pray that you would bless them today, sing over them with Your joy, be their rock, and may they feel Your presence there, with them so strongly.   Thank you Jesus, I praise You for You are good.  In Jesus name, Amen!

Love you all!

Pray for me....

Hey there so I took my World Regional Geography on Friday and I think it went well. =D But I have THREE finals one Wednesday! I have my anatomy and physiology lab final in the morning, 8:30-11:00am then from 11:30am - 1:00pm I have my anatomy and physiology written. Which for some reason I never seem to do well on my writtens....I do well on my labs though....and then to top off my amazing day I have to take my drive test with the ambulance at 2:30pm whop-de-do. I really think I'm going to be just shot after this....the I take the written for the EMS class Thursday. But if you could please pray that I would be functional bu the time I get behind the wheel. Two hard-core finals is enough to make me have slow reactions and not so good decisions while driving and if your talking to me while I'm driving at the end of a day like that, I won't be a very good driver. Sooo with the stress of having it being a test....would you all please pray for me?
Thank you soooo much I could use it!

And there are just some other thing in the way right now as far as trying to get everything done so I can apply for the paramedic program (which is in the fall) this spring - I still need a sponsor of some sort or a job with a hospital or somebody! Pray I would have patience as I wait for the Lord to provide. Thank you - I love you all!

*gulp*

Hey Y'all
Soooo it's finals so if you could all be praying that I do well - that would be amazing! There is also a nasty flu bug going around and lately I think I got a touch of it, and that would be super bad if I got sick during finals! This term one of my finals will include doing a driving course in an ambulance - I've never done this before so please pray I'll do well.

I still need a job and am looking for a sponsor for my paramedic - if you could be praying for that too that would be amazing! Thank you sooo much! I love and miss you all!
